The Blue Mosque

We have stopped for tea at our favorite place, The Dervish Cafe.  Here is my view as I write:

This is where I sat yesterday and wrote about the bath.  This time I will give it a test run.  :)
Another amazing day.  I really wanted to see Chora Church, known locally as Kariye Mosque.  Sorry, the photos are not uploaded yet.  Anyhow, to get there from our hotel, we took:  a cab to the metro, the metro to Kadiköy, the ferry to Eminönü, the tram to Ulubatli, and then walked about a mile.  !!!  The journey was definitely the adventure.

We took a bus back to Eminönü, and I have never been hotter in my life.  Packed like sardines, with no air conditioning.  Not complaining, just reporting.  :)

Going to post this now, as a test run.  In the travel journal I carry, on today's page it had a prompt to write three words to describe how I feel.  I wrote "blessed, carefree and adventuresome." That was before I was "melting."  :)

Güle güle for now.  If this works, I will blog again here at my favorite cafe.  :)
