Long wonderful day today at the Princes Islands and then dinner and touring with a friend of Frank's cousin Steve. Katy is mid twenties, and simply a delight. Just an all round fabulous day.
Not sure what went on in the protests today...have not checked the news. I have an insider's view on it, but will save that for now. I am getting a lot of texts and emails of concern...thank you. We feel very safe, and Frank's company is monitoring the situation closely. Pray for peace in Turkey.
Too tired to blog, but all is very very well. Tomorrow at 8 am I fly to Ephesus for the day. I will be flying alone, meeting up with a tour group, and then flying back in the evening, so I may not be posting until Friday. This will definitely be my most adventurous day, flying from Istanbul to Ephesus alone.
By the way, tonight I had dinner in Kadikoy, which is the modern name for Chalcedon - a great place in Christian history.
300 plus photos today. Don't worry, I won't post them all. :0)
Good night! -g
Grace,
ReplyDeleteVery happy to know you are safe, though I wasn't terribly concerned--been following the reports closely.
Can't tell you how envious I am you're going to Ephesus. You will love it. I am sorry to have not gotten there myself, but I will one day. Will you travel anywhere else in Turkey?
Can't wait to get a Turkey history lesson when you get back. Enjoy!!!
