Two more weeks

On June 8 Frank and I will leave for Istanbul, Turkey for two weeks. Frank will be working and I will be a tourist. Three years ago I recorded our trip to Paris on a blog (link on the right side bar) and I still enjoy reviewing our trip at that site.

Thus, this blog.  Merhaba means HELLO in Turkish.

Over the next couple of weeks  I might post a bit of background information... such as... this map!

Istanbul is the only city in the world that spans two continents... Europe and Asia. Our hotel is on the Asian side, but most of my time will be spent on the European side, as that is where a lot of the tourist sites are.   Figuring out transportation will be the first challenge!
